Artist: Van Garret
Although born and raised in Los Angeles, Van draws deep inspiration from his Apache and Olmec heritage, as well as his travels abroad—particularly to Iceland. A self-taught painter, he began his artistic journey in college, influenced early on by music, which continues to shape his creative process. Van works primarily in liquid acrylics and watercolors, drawn to their fluidity and the organic way colors blend and evolve. His favorite subjects include animals, people, and nature, often reflecting a spiritual connection to the land and a dreamlike narrative. When not painting, Van enjoys running marathons, traveling, and playing guitar.
