Artist: Wendy Kleine

Wendy Colt Kleine, born in Encino, California, moved to Chicago at seven. While her mother’s love of art had influenced her as a small child, her many trips to the Chicago Art Institute also inspired her. Wendy later earned an AA degree in Art from Grossmont College in San Diego, then managed a picture frame gallery in Hillcrest for a decade. Transitioning to jewelry-making and interior design, she cared for her daughter while honing her craft. Since 2015, she's immersed herself in acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. Splitting time between San Diego and Lake Arrowhead, her work is deeply inspired by the beauty of both locations. Her work has graced HGTV's Smart Home 2020 and other shows.
